The Angle Vale Foxes Men’s B Grade play in Division 2 Sunday League and are looking to push themselves into a solid Division 2 team for the 2023 season. Here we will write up and breakdown the weekends games and provide a link to our Youtube page with the games highlights.

League Round #18

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Para Hills United

Date: 10th September 2023

Location: The Den

The Reserve Foxes would go into the game against Para Hills looking to finish of their season strongly after an up and down year the Foxes knew a win would secure 5th spot on the ladder for the Foxes and they were looking for a better performance against a Para Hills team who frustrated them the first time the 2 teams met.

This time around the Foxes would make no mistake with the game and would come out 3 – 1 winners and a massively dominant performance from the Reserve Foxes.

The game would start off well for the foxes who dominated the play and the vast majority of the attacks.

It would take only 10 minutes for the Foxes to find the back of the net with some tidy play around the Para Hills 18-yard box and a good tackle from Mikey the ball would find Alex inside the Box and his deflected effort would sail over the Para Hills keeper into the back of the net.

And the Foxes would double their lead 10 minutes later after a deep Liam corner would find Travis at the back of the pack unmarked and his first-time volley would be hit sweet enough over the keeper in goals who could do nothing to get close to stopping the shot.

This would be the best goal of Travis’s season and in typical fashion he would leave it to the last game of the ear to pull out some magic.

The half time whistle would give the Foxes a chance to regroup, take on some fluids and get ready to put another 45 minutes of hard work and effort out on the pitch to finish off their season.

And within 8 minutes of the half restarting the Foxes would find themselves with a 3rd goal thanks to a great over the top ball in behind the para hills defense by Remmie which would land perfectly for Alex to run onto and finish first time past the Para Hills keeper.

The 3-goal lead wouldn’t last long though with a tussle in the box for a lose ball Travis would give away a very soft penalty

With the squad stacked with talent the Foxes would empty their bench giving everyone some valuable game time but the Foxes wouldn’t be able to break through again and the game would end 3 – 1 and round out an up and down season for the Foxes.

Goal Scorers

Alex Graziani – 2 Goals

Travis Rodger – 1 Goal

The result see’s the Foxes finish 5th on the ladder after a difficult season with periods of time where major components of the squad were out injured or in the A Grade helping them propel their season. After 2 years of dominant league seasons the 2023 was a return to normality in preparation for a 2024 season in Division 1.

League Round #17

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Noarlunga

Date: 3rd September 2023

Location: Away

The Foxes took the long trip all the way down to Noarlunga on a lovely Sunday weather wise looking to get back to a good performance scoring some goals and getting the Win.

The Foxes would get a safe 3 – 0 win but a lot of missed chances and could have been a lot more.

The Foxes would start the day in complete control pressing the Noarlunga backline all day creating a bunch of early chances.

But what would come evident throughout the day the finishing would be the problem for the Foxes.

About 20 minutes into the game a goal of the month contender would be scored after some awesome build up play down the left wing from Feyai who would find Ethan on the edge of the box and he would play a great first-time pass to Alex who’s shot would hit the under side of the bar and bounce over the line perfectly.

But this would be the highlight of the first half with a lot of over hit balls into the forward line going out for goal kicks.

The 2nd half would be a steam roll over chances for the Foxes with Frahmy, Feyai, Jacko, Alex and Corey all causing massive issues for the Noarlunga defense.

It would eventually be Jacko and Frahmy that would score 2 goals for the foxes to extend their lead but it would be the chances missed that would define the game.

With Frahmy taking the cake missing from 2 yards out and somehow kicking the ball over the bar from that close completely stunning everyone.

But defensively the Foxes were very strong and would keep Noarlunga away from their goal but a few more goals would have done the team justice for their dominance

Goal Scorers

Jackson Dunning – 1 Goal

Josh Frahm – 1 Goal

Alex Graziani – 1 Goal

The foxes look to wrap up their season with another win at home in front of a big Foxes crowd and the sponsors of the club against Para Hills united

The Foxes had a frustrating 2-2 draw last time and will be looking for a vastly improved performance and to finish the season of with another Win.

League Round #16

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Southern Knights

Date: 27th August 2023

Location: The Den

It was another tough test for the Reserves who went into the game against Southern knights looking to get a result after a tough 2 – 1 Loss away.

But the day would turn out to go to the Knights with the Foxes losing 2 – 1 despite having an additional man on the field and a ton of chances in front of goal.

The game would start with the Foxes trying a new formation and style of play with preparation for Division 1 next year starting now.

The behind the ball build up play and defensive work rate was what the Foxes were looking to focus on and it was exactly this that the Foxes would do for the First half.

Everyone was putting in the work defensively, working towards the ball and playing brave passes between the lines of attack and would create a bunch of chances in front of goal but would be unable to convert them.

This would be the story of the day for the Foxes with Jacko, Corey and Ethan all having chances in front of goal but unable to hit the back of the net.

It would be an unfortunate clearance that would result in a rebound back into the box that would open the scoring for Southern knights with Liam clearing an attack and it would hit the Foxes defender fall to the Knights striker and he would put his shot past Matt in goals to give them a 1-0 lead heading into half time.

The Foxes would come out in the 2nd half and look to open up and attack more and they would pour on the pressure with a bunch more chances being made but if not for the Knights keeper the foxes would have been level sooner.

The levelling goal would come from a corner that Knights would struggle to clear and Trav would end up in a goal line scramble and find the ball in the back of the net somehow.

The foxes would continue to attack and a Corey drive from deep would result in the defender taking him out from behind and being given a straight Red Card giving the Foxes the advantage.

But the Foxes would be unable to capitalize upon the 1 less man the Knights would have on field with chances falling to Corey and jacko unable to be converted.

But in return it would be the Knights who would launch an amazing solo run down the wing and across the touchline keeping the ball in play and under control and a perfect cross to the back post would see their winger header the ball home to give them the lead.

The Foxes would push with some of the kids coming on to give the Foxes some fresh legs and try and get the equalizer and a great chance at the end of the game would fall to Mikey who just couldn’t wrap his foot around the ball enough to get it in the goal.

This would finish off a tough day for the Foxes where missed opportunities would be the tale of the day and the season.

Its back on the road for the Foxes next weekend where they head away to Noarlunga looking to get back on the scoring sheet and finish off the final 2 games of the season strong.

League Round #15

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Modbury Soccer Club

Date: 20th August 2023

Location: Away

In what has been a frustratingly up and down year for the Reserves it was another disappointing weekend away at Modbury. With the foxes going down 4 – 1 against a big, fast and physical Modbury reserve team.

After the high of last weekend, the shine was taken from the Foxes within 5 minutes of the opening whistle of the game with the Foxes going down 1 – 0 thanks to a perfectly timed through ball which would split open the Foxes backline.

It wouldn’t take long for the Foxes to concede another goal when a defensive mistake was seized upon by the Modbury attacker who would slot his shot past Kade in goals.

The Foxes would fight their way back into the game after this and start to create some chances of their own with Paul starting to take over the Midfield battle, but they were unable to break through the Modbury defense and the scoreline would remain the same for the remainder of the 1st half.

After a half time chat and some changes, the Foxes would come out in the 2nd half ready for a fight but 2 minutes in disaster would strike with Will going down injured and forcing a change to happen.

This would mean a makeshift backline would be put together and it would eventually cost the Foxes again with a turnover from the forward line falling to the Modbury winger who would play an inch perfect pass behind the Foxes backline and find their striker who would finish over Kade.

A 4th would soon come from a freekick outside the box that would fail to be cleared by the Foxes and the scramble in the box would fall to the Modbury player who would toe poke home from close range.

In what was turning into a rough day for the Foxes Mikey would find himself on the scoresheet to get a consolation goal for the Foxes after a good attack through the midfield and his long-range strike would come out of the hands of the keeper and fall over the line.

Goal Scorers

Michael Trimboli – 1 Goal

It was is turning out to be a up and down season for the reserves they will be back at home against Southern Knights a team that was difficult the first time round and sure to be no pushovers at home. They will be looking to get back to their scoring ways and get another Win on the board.

League Round #13

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Rowe Park

Date: 13th August 2023

Location: The Den

It was a very different looking team this weekend for the reserves who have been going through a rough patch of form as of late but it would be a return to winning ways for the Foxes coming away convincing 4 – 0 winners at home.

The Game would start with the Foxes in control from the first whistle with the Talk, Energy and Off ball movement drastically improved from the weeks prior.

It would be a bit of short interplay that would set up the Foxes first goal with a over the top ball dragging the keeper out of his box in a race against Frahmy and the rebounding ball would land at Feyai’s feet who would make no mistake and score into the open net after the keeper’s challenge left him stranded outside the box.

It wouldn’t take long for the Foxes to get their second and it would be Alex who would drift past 2 midfielders and find the perfect passing lane to slot the ball into Feyai’s feet and he would finish 1 on 1 with the keeper.

But Feyai was on fire and wouldn’t stop there with a 3rd coming in the first half again thanks to some nice tight interplay and a little flick ball around the defense would find his feet he would chop onto his right foot and unleash from outside the box and beat the keeper at the near post rounding out an exceptional first half for the Foxes.

With a few injuries happening early in the game the 2nd half would see a different looking Foxes squad taking the field and it would be a bit more composed and less free flowing going forward but the Foxes backline held strong with Gary and Brett locking down the Rowe Park attackers limiting them to very few chances making Kades day in goal as easy as it could be.

The final goal of the day would come from a Thunderbolt of a striker from Paul that he would smash into the top corner of the goal from the front post that the keeper had no chance in saving as it was hit with that much power it was in the goal before he knew anything about it.

The Foxes would continue their dominance of the ball and keep possession throughout the 2nd half and return back to their controlled ways dominating the ball, field position and chances on goal.

The win gets the Foxes back fighting for a top 4 position with some big important games coming up to finish off the season.

Goal Scorers

Feyai Banyankindagiye – 3 Goals

Paul Kouimtzis – 1 Goal

The result gets the Foxes back in the winner’s circle and with some good results happening around them over the weekend has them looking at the possibility of getting back into the top 4 for the end of the year. With a huge revenge match against Modbury coming up this weekend.

League Round #14

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs FK Beograd

Date: 6th August 2023

Location: Away

It was another bad week for the Reserves with it now being 4 losses in a row and going down 1 -0 to FK Beograd in a game that was frustrating to watch from the sidelines.

The Foxes would start the game with limited urgency and energy across the park. It would look like a friendly match was taking place between both teams with neither team moving at any real speed or pace with the ball.

The first half would mainly be dictated by set pieces which would lead to half chances but nothing clear cut would be hit on target and the troubling of both keepers would be very minimal.

With a few minutes remaining in the first half the best chance of the game would land at the feet of Alex who would run 1 on 1 with the keeper and look for the square ball for Feyi to tap home but the FK Beograd defender would clear the ball and ensure both teams would go in at half time 0-0.

The 2nd half the pace of the game would pick up with both teams working harder and pushing for a goal but it would be a mistake b the Foxes which would create an opening for FK Beograd to break through the Foxes back line with a ball over the top of the defense and eventually a good left foot finish would go past Kade in goals and break the deadlock of the 2 teams.

This would really kick the Foxes into gear and it would then be a flood of chances for the Foxes that would all miss the back of the net.

With chances falling to Ben, Feyi, Liam, Jakob and Alex all missing the target. The time left in the game would diminish and the frustration for the Foxes would increase but it would be FK Beograd who could hold out and keep the Foxes at bay and come away with the 3 points.

Goal Scorers

N/A

It was another rough day on the pitch for the Reserves and a big week on the training park is in store as a home showdown against local rivals Rowe Park coming up this weekend and a win the only thing the Foxes are looking for.

Cup Round of 16

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Ingle Farm

Date: 29th July 2023

Location: Away

It was lined up as the toughest game of the season for the foxes with a good Ingle farm team looking to knock out the Foxes from the challenge cup.

And they would do just that with the Foxes going down 3 – 1, but the foxes would fight all game long, create some good chances and score a great goal.

The Foxes would be shown the difference in experience between the 2 teams, the difference between momentum and Division 1 experience for years would highlight the gaps between the 2 teams.

The early game would highlight that the Foxes typical ways of playing and attacking would not be enough to break through a very strong Ingle Farm defense.

The scoring would be opened up from a long throw in from Ingle Farm who’s throw would be at the front post and a flick on from the Ingle Farm attacker would fall to the feet of the Ingle Farm winger right on the line and it would be the first goal of the game.

Following this the foxes would create a good chance with Ethan getting 1 on 1 with the ingle Farm keeper but would be unable to finish on his left foot and take advantage of a great attack.

But just as quickly as the Foxes thought they were getting back into the game they would be back on the back foot with another goal getting past Kade in goals with a long shot from 25 yards out bouncing over Kades attempted save and going in off the post.

This would rattle the Foxes confidence and the half time whistle wouldn’t be far behind giving the Foxes the chance to get themselves back in the game.

After a half time talk about being in the game still and despite 2 mistakes the Foxes can still create chances of their own.

This would be the case for the early part of the 2nd half with the Foxes creating a few good chances on goal but the ingle Farm keeper and defense would be up to the task of keeping the ball out of their net.

But it would be a mistake in the back with the Foxes pushing forward trying to get back in the game and Remmie would be caught on the ball inside the Foxes box and after being pushed over would see his legs tangle with the Farm striker and they would win themselves a penalty.

With no problems at all the Farm striker would slot the ball past Kade and give themselves a 3 – 0 lead.

This would really force the Foxes to push for a goal and would switch up to 3 at the back formation and flood players forward trying o get back into the game and eventually they would get a goal back in the 89th minute thanks to some great close ball control up top from Paul who would squeeze past 2 defenders and finish his shot into the far corner of the goal to give the Foxes a goal for their efforts but it would prove to be too little too late unfortunately.

Goal Scorers

Paul Kouimtzis – 1 Goals

The loss would see the foxes bow out of the cup and switch their attention back to finishing off the year well and working their way up the ladder as high as they can in preparation for next season.

The Foxes head away this weekend to take on FK Beograd and will be looking to get back to their earlier goal scoring form and back on the winners list.

League Round #12

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Elizabeth Vale

Date: 23rd July 2023

Location: Away

Like all the other Foxes teams this weekend the Reserves would head into their clash with a very different looking starting 11 from the week prior with the injuries affecting them as well.

But it would be a super hard-fought battle that would eventually see the Foxes go down 4 – 3 against their rivals but the fight and desire from the team could not have made the Foxes coach happier.

The game would start off not how the Foxes would of hoped with the Vale team having possession of the ball and moving it around nicely and without a lot of pressure from the foxes who were missing 3 of their main pressing players from the starting lineup.

The first chance would fall to Vale who would see their chance stopped by Kade who would find himself under bombardment a lot of the game.

But it would be some interplay up front from the Foxes that would see Reserves debutant Aidan Jones break through the Vale backline and would be shut down at the last second before he would be able to get his shot away on goal.

But a defensive lapse from the Foxes would see the Vale forwards get out of the Midfield with limited pressure and play a great ball in behind the Foxes defensive line and the Vale striker would finish past kade giving them a 1 – 0 lead.

And it would be long before they would strike again with again the foxes defense turning off and not putting any real pressure in the midfield on the ball carrier and an easy long ball would be played into the Foxes RB who was out numbered 2 v 1 and a cleaver flick form the Vale striker would see him 1 on 1 with kade and would finish from his tight angle.

Quickly after that a Paul would latch onto a won header from a Vale goal kick that would get him in behind the Vale defense and he would make no mistake with the finish slotting the ball under the Vale keeper reducing the deficit.

This would signal the end of the half for the Foxes and it would get worse before it would get better for the Foxes with 3 players going down injured in the first half forcing the Foxes coach to use all his subs to keep 11 players on the park.

Will would come back from a long-term injury and find himself up front, Liam would com on for his 2nd game of the weekend at Left Back and old man Ryan would come on for his 3rd game of the weekend at 42 years old at CB to cover Evan who would come off with a broken nose.

These changes would spur the Foxes on to fight to the death for the points and it would start off well for the Foxes with a forward line scrap leading to a turnover In the Vale box which would land at the Feet of Mickey and he would slot into the goal to halve the deficit.

Unfortunately, this wouldn’t last long with almost immediately the Vale forwards returning the favor and getting in behind the Foxes defense after some none existent midfield pressure again and he would slot his finish under Kade to make it 3 – 2.

But Paul would not be done yet with a speculative long-range effort turning into a perfectly hit missile into the top corner giving the Foxes another goal back and bringing the teams level 3 – 3.

It looked like the Foxes had managed to fight their way back into the game through pure desire and effort but it would be another great ball played between the Foxes defense and a footrace against Ryan from the Vale striker which he would win and smash his finish past Kade in goals.

The game wouldn’t be over yet though for the Foxes with them flooding forward creating more and more chances and the best one would fall from an Aidan long throw that would find its way to Will at the back post who would swivel and shoot just over the bar.

This would be the last chance of the game and signal back-to-back losses for the foxes going down 4 – 3.

Goal Scorers

Paul Kouimtzis – 2 Goals

Michael Trimboli – 1 Goal

The Foxes now switch their attention to their Saturday afternoon cup game against Ingle Farm in the quarter finals where they will be looking to get back to winning ways and push into the Semi’s for the 2nd time in 3 years.

League Round #11

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs WA Raptors

Date: 16th July 2023

Location: The Den

The B Grade went into the game against the WA Raptors expecting a tough physical fight and with a depleted squad thanks to a ton of injuries the team would turn to the youngsters from the C Grade to step up and put in a shift.

Ultimately it wasn’t enough for the Foxes with the Reserves going down 2-0 despite fighting hard all game.

The Foxes starting lineup would look different again after another wave of injuries rocked through the First team and Reserve team and it would mean 2 debut starts for the Foxes would take place.

With Mikey coming in from the Saturday A Grade and young Hudson coming up from the U16’s / C Grade to start out on left wing.

The game would start of super physical with both teams not budging an inch with the Foxes regulars showing their quality especially in the middle of the park.

It would be the foxes who would create the best chance of the early exchanges when Frahmy and Jacko would link up and get in behind the WA Raptors defense but Frahmy’s shot would be saved by the keeper.

It would also be Remmie and Alex who in the first half would find their long-range efforts expertly saved by the Raptors keeper causing further frustration for the Foxes.

But it would be at the 32nd minute mark where a defensive scramble would lead to a half chance for the raptors and with everyone out of position and a great Kade save the lose ball would fall to the Raptors winger who would scream in to the back post to tuck home the easy finish and give the raptors the lead heading into half time.

Half time the Foxes would go into the changerooms knowing that a bit of luck is all they would need to get back into the game and taking their chances would be key.

The 2nd half would compound the frustration for the foxes with them dominating the ball and creating chance after chance on the Raptors goal but the Raptors keeper coming up clutch every single time to save his team frustrating everyone at the Den.

It would end up being in the 80th minute when the Raptors would get through a tired Foxes midfield and backline and get fouled in the box and a penalty awarded.

Despite Kade picking the right direction he would be unable to pull of some heroics like he did a week earlier.

The game would open up now for the Foxes with the Bench emptied and a bunch of the young kids with fresh legs on the park the Raptors back line opened up and a few 1 on 1 chances would fall to Jacko and Frahmy but again the Raptors keeper would come to his teams rescue and keep them in the game.

The final whistle would go and the Foxes would succumb to defeat after a strong run in the last few weeks.

Goal Scorers

N/A

The result wasn’t a great one for the Foxes but it came as a great chance to learn for the young lads who came into the team to learn what Reserve football is like.

As the Foxes continue to get their players back after injury stints on the sidelines, they will shift their attention to next weeks big game against Elizabeth Vale and 1 eye on their Cup game the following week.

Cup Round #4

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs USC Lions

Date: 9th July 2023

Location: The Den

The rematch was set for a HUGE Sunday of action and the Reserves kicked off the day with a heart stopping game which ended up 1-1 after regulation time with neither team able to breakdown the other and eventually would end up going to Penalties where the Foxes would come away 3 – 1 Winners.

After a disappointing loss last season away at USC Lions at the same point in the cup the Foxes would head into the game looking to redeem themselves from last season and the game would start off well with the Foxes dictating the tempo of play and creating a few early opportunities.

It would be USC Lions though who would have the best chance in the opening stages of the game with Kade pulling off a nice save in what would turn out to be an outstanding game from the Foxes keeper.

The Foxes would continue to make chances with Jacko, Frahmy and Feyai causing the USC Lions defense all kinds of problems.

The Foxes would take a big blow with Feyai going down injured after 20 minutes which would dent the Foxes forward momentum for a few minutes until they could reestablish themselves with Corey coming in to replace Feyai.

Eventually the Foxes managed to get themselves in control of the game again and would start to create some clear chances with a short corner coming to Paul who would rattle his missile shot right at the keeper who would pull of a great save to keep it out the net.

The best Foxes chance would come from a seemingly nothing ball from Travis out the backline which he would clear high to the USC Lions CB’s who would misjudge the ball in the air and Frahmy would take a great first touch and go 1 on 1 with the keeper and his finish would go past him and give the Foxes the 1-0 lead.

A few more chances would come to the Foxes in the 1st half but they were unable to convert them but the momentum and control of the game was with the Foxes and they would take this positivity into the halftime break.

Second half the Foxes would come out with the same control and intensity they finished the 1st half with but the USC Lions would make some fundamental changes to their starting lineup and this would catch the Foxes of guard with a bit of good quick play out wide would lead to a ball falling into the space behind the Foxes CB’s and the powerful USC Lion’s striker would finish his chance past Kade in goals and draw the game level.

With a long time left to play the Foxes weren’t done yet, they would regather themselves and the players on the park would change their positions themselves to give them more forward presence with Paul heading into the forward line looking to cause some chaos and hold the ball up to get the Foxes wingers in play.

It would lead to a few good chances with a Frahmy left foot chance going just wide and a Corey 50/50 strike falling in a good location but his finish going nowhere near the goal.

The Foxes would dominate possession and chances but both teams were unable to be separated in the 90 minutes so it would be Extra time to settle the tie.

As the weather started to turn the Foxes would continue their control in the game creating the better opportunities but it would be an indirect free kick for the Foxes that would present the best scoring chance for the game and after some mental made-up routine between Alex, Paul and Zac it would fail horribly and almost result in a counter attack for the USC lions.

But after the 1st 15 minutes of extra time the 2 teams were unable to be separated.

The 2nd half of Extra time presented the Foxes with the biggest scare with a midfield turnover resulting in a through ball being played through to the USC Lions striker who would miss his chance and put his shot wide under pressure.

But it would give the USC Lions momentum and another chance would be right around the corner with another through ball to the striker being played but this time the Offside flag would go up saving the Foxes and keeping the game locked at 1-1.

The Full-Time whistle would go and that would be that, the Foxes would need to go to Penalties to settle the tie.

The Foxes would step up to take the first penalty with a Foxes veteran Chad stepping up to take the first penalty and would calmly slot the ball to the right-hand side past the keeper, almost like he had done it a bunch of times before.

Then it would be Kade’s time to shine with the USC lions first penalty taker stepping up. Kade would guess correctly and get a hand to the shot to keep the ball out of the net giving the Foxes the early lead.

Next up for the Foxes would be new boy to the club Jakob who after an impressive day on the park would step up calmly and smash his penalty past the keeper giving the Foxes the perfect start.

Once again Kade would step up to prove the first save wasn’t a fluke and sure enough he would guess correctly and make a great save on the USC lions 2nd penalty taker giving the Foxes a 2-0 lead.

Up would step Zac the Foxes primary penalty taker to take the decisive 3rd penalty and he would stand there all confident and calmly take a terrible penalty and hit it just off center so the keeper would be able to make a comfortable save and restore some hope for the USC lions.

Kade’s time to shine again and he would be looking to go for a 3rd save in a row but the USC Lions striker would make no mistake with his penalty picking his spot and smashing it past Kade in goals putting the pressure back on the Foxes.

But up would step club icon Paul for the Foxes 4th penalty, looking to eradicate recent penalty memories from the past he would pick his spot to the far left and despite the keeper picking the right direction he would have enough power on it to see hit the back of the net.

This would be the moment of pressure for the USC Lions with a miss seeing them lose and be knocked out and you could see the pressure on the USC Lions penalty taker with Kade confident in his ability to stop his penalty. Sure, enough the moment would get too big for the penalty taker as his shot would sky over the crossbar and the Foxes would claim the 3 – 1 win on penalties.

Goal Scorers

Josh Frahm – 1 Goal

It would be a great moment of redemption for the Foxes who after a disappointing loss last season to USC Lions claimed a hard fought and nerve-racking win on penalties to progress through to the next round of the cup.

The Foxes fought all game and held their nerve when it mattered most and came away deserving winners and made themselves and everyone proud and would kick off a great day at the Den.

League Round #10

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs West Beach

Date: 2nd July 2023

Location: Away

What a performance from the Sunday B Grade team coming away massive 6-1 winners and exacting some revenge against West beach for beating our C Grade by the same scoreline.

The B Grade would go into the game looking for redemption against the team that ended their excellent home record at the start of the season.

And it would start out with the Foxes getting lucky twice in the first 5 minutes of the game with West Beach rattling the crossbar from a long-range effort after a poor clearance and the post not to long after from a hard close-range finish from the West beach striker.

But after these few chances the game would get locked up tighter from the Foxes with a great bit of interplay between the Foxes midfield releasing Frahmy in behind the West Beach defense and he would pull the trigger early as he would notice the keeper out of position and leaving half the goal open and he would make no mistake giving the Foxes a 1-0 lead early.

And it would only be a couple more minutes and the foxes would find themselves up 2-0 thanks to what was seemingly a terrible shot by Frahmy that the keeper would make a meal of with the ball spinning out of his hand and into the goal at the surprise of everyone.

In what looked like the Foxes Day a typical Foxes mistake would lead to a West beach goal with the Foxes trying to play out the back and the ball would get intercepted by the West Beach striker and he would make no mistake finishing past Kade in goals.

The Foxes would get back their 2-goal lead pretty quickly though with their forward pressure causing West beach problems, it would be a misplaced pass from Dan that would hold up in the corner flag that he would go on and press himself that would force the defense into making a mistake that Jacko would capitalize on and restore the Foxes 2 goal lead.

Half time would give the Foxes a chance to chat about how the game was playing out and the control they had on the game and how a few more chances taken would end this game.

The 2nd half would provide just that with a through ball to Frahmy and him beating his man 1on1 would lead to a perfect ball across the box for Alex to tuck home to continue his great run of form.

It would only take 2 minutes for the Foxes to score another with Paul stealing the ball from the West beach backline and smashing home a finish past he stranded keeper rounding out a great game by him.

The final goal of the match would give Jacko his 2nd of the game with a perfect ball between the defense being played to him that he would make no mistake of finishing with and concluding a great day for the Foxes.

Goal Scorers

Josh Frahm – 2 Goals

Jackson Dunning – 2 Goals

Alex Graziani – 1 Goal

Paul Koumitzis – 1 Goal

The result put the Foxes right back in the fight for the title with the Foxes needing to take points from the teams above them to take 1st place. This weekend the Foxes line up against an old enemy USC Lions in the cup where they will be looking for revenge after last years heartbreaking loss.

League Round #9

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Para Hills United

Date: 25th June 2023

Location: Away

The Sunday Reserves went into the game looking to continue on from a great win last weekend. Unfortunately, a stoic Para Hills Defense, less than ideal pitch conditions & weather conditions and some defensive errors meant the foxes could only come away with a 2-2 Draw.

The Foxes went away to Para Hills at the Paddocks and the name of the ground really highlighted the condition of the pitch; it was basically a paddock.

The less-than-ideal weather conditions throughout the week have really done some damage to the pitches in the league and this plays against the Foxes play style quite a lot.

As a team that likes to move the ball around quickly and play with the ball on the ground at pace these kinds of grounds make ball movement, control and speed harder.

This was prevalent in the game as the foxes were possession dominant but were unable to break down a defensively solid Para Hills team who would defend deep and look for a long over the top out ball to cause chaos.

The Foxes would get off to the better start though with a forward press on the Para Hills backline forcing a turnover which would find Alex in the box and he would slot away his finish to give the Foxes the 1-0 lead.

It wouldn’t be too long before the lead would be surrendered though with a long throw in from Para Hills failing to be cleared by the Foxes would be tapped home from close range.

The Foxes would go in at half time positive knowing they were the better side on and off the ball just needing to find the back of the net.

The 2nd half would be much the same with the Foxes pressing high and creating turn overs but unable to create any real openings on goal.

It would actually be a Defensive mistake from the Foxes with Bailey turning the ball over at CB with the Para Hills striker stealing the ball and scoring past Kade.

This would see Para Hills defend deep and try and hold out for a 2 – 1 win but the Foxes resilience would show through again as the scrappiest goal for the season would be scored by the Foxes with the last touch coming off Alex but a massive spinning ball would spin past the stranded Para Hills keeper and roll over the line.

Despite pushing for the win, the Foxes were unable to find the final touch in front of goal and would have to settle for a 2-2 draw on a day that dropped points across the league would be the norm.

Goal Scorers

Alex – 1 Goal

OG – 1 Goal

The point gained is better than 3 points lost for the Foxes and with the teams ahead of them in the table dropping points too it means the chance to push up towards the top of the table will come down to revenge matches starting this weekend against West Beach (if their pitch is useable)

League Round #8

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Noarlunga United

Date: 18th June 2023

Location: The Den

The Weather would continue to get worse during the day and the wind, cold and rainy conditions would lead to the Foxes having a tough time infront of goal and struggle to break down a stubborn defensive team.

But eventually the fitness and quality would come through and the Foxes would come away 7 – 0 winners.

It was a frustrating day at the office for the Foxes despite what the scoreline says.

Early on the Foxes would have complete control of the game with Noarlunga playing a defensive line of 8 on the edge of their box making it very difficult for the Foxes to get through and make clear cut chances.

But it was the Foxes who would hurt themselves the most. When they would make a chance, it would be the Foxes who would fluff their lines and miss the goal on multiple occasions.

The scoring would be opened by Frahmy who would finish off a great piece of build up play the ended with an excellent cut back and was finally put away.

It wouldn’t take too long before a 2nd would be put in the goal after Alex would finish off a scrappy chance that would bounce around in the 6-yard box a bunch of times.

This would be all the Foxes would be able to convert by half time, after a chat about execution and effort levels the Foxes would come out in the 2nd half firing a lot more.

But Noarlunga would hold out until the 60th minute where Corey would finally get his goal, he deserved all day after missing a batch of chances prior.

The 2nd half would see 2 younger Foxes come on for their debut in the reserves with Lachlan & Riley who have been exceptional in the C Grade coming on and making a big difference installing energy and excitement in the team.

The 75th minute would see Alex score his 2nd of the day drifting in behind the Noarlunga defense, rounding the keeper and finishing into the open net.

And only 5 minutes later he would finish off his hat-trick from a freakish corner where the wind would grab the ball and fly it in over the Noarlunga keeper.

It would be a great time for a debut goal and an excellent Bailey run in behind the Noarlunga defense and an outside the foot cross to the back post would find Riley sitting there free and he would be able to tap home from close range his effort and erupt the sidelines in celebration.

Bailey would get his much-deserved goal to round out the day running 1 on 1 with the keeper and he would finish past him just in time for the ref to blow full time and round out an excellent 7-0 win for the Foxes.

Goal Scorers

Alex Graziani – 3 Goals

Josh Frahm – 1 Goal

Bailey Trussler – 1 Goal

Riley Joslin – 1 Goal

Corey Powell – 1 Goal

The result gets the Foxes back on track for their season with 2 – 5th all within 1 point of eachother. The Foxes head away to Para Hills and looking to continue on this good result and close the gap on the top team.

Cup Round #3

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Stirling FC

Date: 4th June 2023

Location: The Den

The Foxes would go into Cup round 3 looking to get back to winning ways, but they sure did like to make their lives harder than needed to be but eventually would come away 3 – 2 winners and progress into the next round of the cup.

The game would start with the foxes in control of the ball, positional territory and tempo of the game but in what is becoming a reoccurring problem for the reserves they would gift Stirling 2 goals to make their life much harder than it would need to be.

First goal would go to Stirling in what can only be described as a terrible mistake between the Foxes center backs. The ball would look to be cleared within the 18-yard box only for it to hit the back of Morgan and fall at the feet of the Stirling striker who would tap the ball past the stranded Kade in goals.

The foxes would take the initiative to fix their mistake and would then quickly create something beautiful to bring the Foxes back level.

A great bit of movement from captain Aidan who would feint his way into some space in the midfield and would play an outside the foot pass between the Stirling CB’s for Frahmy to run onto and his great first touch would stand the keeper up and his 2nd touch would see the ball in the back of the net restoring the level ground between the 2 teams.

But again, in what can only be described as self-sabotage the Foxes would give Stirling another Gift, a seemingly nothing play would land at the feet of Kade in goals who would play a slack pass into the midfield straight to the Stirling striker, the Stirling player would unload a left foot shot and catch Kade off his line and thank the Foxes for another goal.

The Foxes would go into half time and after a blasting about desire and focus the Foxes would come out in the 2nd half and change the tempo of the game and control the whole 2nd half but the frustration of scoring would still be there with the Foxes spurring a few early chances.

But it would be a 2nd follow up ball from Paul that would give the Foxes another goal with his great control on the side line and pushing past his defender and getting to the baseline and firing a great ball across the 6-yard box and Feyai would spin and finish from a couple yards out.

With the game level the Foxes had complete control of the game but were struggling to get past Stirling to find the winner.

It would be a excellent weighted header from Jakob into the path for Corey to run onto and he would finish first time on his left foot past the keeper with only a couple minutes left to spare and save the Foxes going into Extra time.

The result was excellent from the Foxes and showed just how potent they can be infront of goal and the desire to fight back from their own mistakes shows how good the Foxes turly are.

Goal Scorers

Josh Frahm – 1 Goal

Corey Powell – 1 Goal

Feyai Banyankindagiye – 1 Goal

The result see’s the Foxes move into the next round where the competition gets a lot harder as all the Division 1 teams now enter the competition. The Foxes will look to get past this round where they bailed out last season.

The next game after the June long weekend see’s the Foxes face bottom of the table Noarlunga at home looking to get back to their free flowing goal scoring ways and back on the winners list in the league.

League Round #7

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Southern Knights

Date: 28th May 2023

Location: Away

Disappointing results coming from silly mistakes have been the story of the season for the Sunday B Grade this season and this weekend was no exception going down 2 – 1 against the undefeated top of the table Southern Knights team.

The game started off as badly as it possibly could of with the foxes going behind 1 – 0 within the first couple minutes from an attacking turnover which caught the Foxes in transition and out of position and a quick ball down the wing would see Kade caught 1 on 1 with the winger and a square ball played across the box to their striker would be tapped home and give the Knights an early advantage.

The foxes would start to fight their way back into the game after this goal adjusting to the Astro pitch and the way the ball would move.

A formation adjustment would also change the way the game would start to play out with the midfield battle starting to be won by the Foxes and a dominant display by Paul would see the foxes start to push forward in the midfield and create some chances.

But the Southern knights defense would prove to be to structured and hard to break down in the first half and they would take that early 1 goal lead into the half time break.

It wouldn’t take long after the half time whistle for the foxes to get back level with a move that started from the backline resulting in a Foxes goal.

like a lot of the Foxes goals this season they build up from the back with composure on the ball and moving between the lines of opponent’s pressure and a good pass from CB Morgan into Alex’s feet who drifting between the 2 knights midfielders would open the game up. Remmie would be free wide and a perfect through ball for Jacko to run onto and hit first time would result in the Knights defender blocking his first attempt but tripping over from being wrong footed allowing Jacko a 2nd bite at the cherry.

the shot would be cleared from the 6-yard box but would spill out to Alex who started the move on the edge of the 18-yard box and he would put his shot into the far post just wide of the keeper and bring the Foxes back level.

The goal would see the Foxes gain control of the game and create more chances as the half would go on but it would be lack of discipline and fieriness that would cost the Foxes.

Jacko would go into a 50/50 tackle and knock down his defender and would seemingly be impeded by the defender on the floor holding his leg and, in an attempt, to free his leg and play on Jacko would kick the Knights player on the floor.

The Ref would blow the whistle for a foul as a scuffle would breakout and Jacko would be shown a straight red card reducing the Foxes to 10 men and putting them on the back foot in a game they were in control of.

The following 15 minutes the Foxes would battle to keep the ball out of the back of their net but eventually the inevitable would happen.

A goal kick which would go uncontested would fall to the Knights midfielder who would make half a yard of space between his defenders and unload from 30 yards out just missing the Foxes defender and despite Kade in goals getting a hand to his effort it wouldn’t be enough to keep it out of the goal.

Despite a late push the Foxes would be unable to overturn the 1 goal deficit and would leave them with back-to-back losses for the first time in a long time.

Goal Scorers

Alex Graziani

The result see’s the reserves fall to 5th on the ladder and looking to get back to winning ways. The Foxes have a cup game this weekend against Sterling at home and will be looking to bounce back to winning ways and progress into the next round of the cup before resting for the June long weekend.

League Round #6

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Modbury Jets

Date: 21st May 2023

Location: The Den

In what would be the most frustrating game of the day the Foxes Reserves would go down 1 – 0 losers after burning a truck load of chances to score and being caught on 1 defensive laps in concentration.

The old saying in football goes, if you don’t take your chances the other team will and that’s exactly what happened to the Reserves this weekend.

The Foxes would come out swinging in the first half within the first 2 minutes Frahmy would break the Modbury defense and round the keeper but wouldn’t be able to slot the ball from the tight angle into the goal.

This would set the pace of the game with the Foxes controlling possession and creating chances all game but would be unable to convert them.

Frahmy would cause the Modbury Jets defense all kinds of problems with his interplay with Corey and Bailey but between the 3 of them they would only manage to hit both posts and the crossbar in the first half with the Jets keeper pulling off some great saves to keep them in the game.

The Foxes would go in level at half time after missing a huge number of chances which on another day would see them 3 or 4 goals up.

The 2nd half the foxes would come out flatter and slower than the first half and would find themselves on the back foot a lot more and it would not be too long before a simple deep free kick from Modbury Jets was not dealt with properly.

A header would land on the edge of the 18-yard box and miscommunication between the Foxes CB and GK would allow the Jets striker to slip in between them and knock the ball over the stranded Kade and give the Jets the lead.

This would fire up the Foxes and they would start being more physical and dominant on the ball, but it was not meant to be.

The best final chance of the game would land to Frahmy who would run 1 on 1 with the Jets keeper and a high trailing foot would deny Frahmy and the Foxes.

The Loss was a bad one for the Foxes which would dent their title chances and make the next game against the Southern Nights a MUST win game.

League Round #5

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs FK Beograd

Date: 14th May 2023

Location: The Den

Due to mothers day the FK beograd team were unable to field and team and forfeit the game giving the Foxes a 3 – 0 win.

League Round #4

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Rowe Park

Date: 7th May 2023

Location: Away

This game was touted as the start of a division 2 title push for the B Grade. Knowing a win here gives them a real chance to take out the league title.

So nothing short of a win was the target and that is what the Foxes would go on to achieve with a 2nd half blitz.

The game would start slow and sloppy from the Foxes with control in the hands of Rowe Park team and if not for an exceptional 20 minutes in goal from kade the Foxes could of found themselves behind early.

But Kade stepped up as showed his quality making 4 really good 1 on 1 saves to keep the Foxes level.
A slight formation shift from the Foxes which they have done a few times mid game this year showing their versatility proved to be just what the Foxes required.

Once the Foxes had the extra number in the midfield, they would then start to gain control of the game and start to create a bunch of half chances but were just missing the final piece of quality with their last pass.

A half time team talk about composure and precision would see the Foxes change up the way they play and the tempo of the game it wouldn’t take long for the Foxes to overload the left-hand side of the field and release Frahmy down the wing for him to drive inside and slot a perfect ball to Paul to smash home under the keeper.

This would open the flood gates for the Foxes with a Flurry of goals coming from Frahmy who went to another level.

He would score his first of his eventually hat trick in the 62nd minute and then follow it up quickly with a great finish from a excellent piece of team play despite taking a bad touch he would collect the ball and put it past the keeper.

He would then find himself 1 on 1 with the keeper and decide to go around the keeper who would bring him down in the box and give away a penalty.
the usual penalty taker Zac would differ the penalty to Frahmy and he would smash it home to round out his hat-trick on the day and close out a 4 – 0 win and put forward a statement to the league that the Foxes are here for another title.

Goal Scorers

Paul Koumitzis – 1 Goal

Josh Frahmy – 3 Goals

The result is the Foxes 3rd in a row and a testament to the effort they put it on the training field during the week in preparation for these big games.

The Foxes now shift their attention to the coming weekends game against FC Beograd but it’s the game following that against Modbury which looks to be the big one and a possible title fight.

League Round #3

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Elizabeth Vale

Date: 30th April 2023

Location: The Den

Continuing on from the C Grade the Foxes Reserves went into the game against Elizabeth Vale knowing nothing but a win would be an acceptable result.

And boy did they turn up for their game coming away 3 – 1 winners and showing just how fit and stacked full of quality the team really is.

The game started off with the Foxes on the back foot and getting lucky after a few silly defensive errors coming out of the backline with stray passes and panicking on the ball, if not for the Foxes keeper Kade pulling of a couple excellent save the foxes could of easily found themselves down early in the game.

It would be a midfield switch that would install control and confidence back in the team for the Foxes with the boys starting to dictate the tempo of play and control across the game.

The first half would see the Foxes slowly gain control of the game and start to move the Vale team round all over the pitch but both teams would go into half time level with the score 0 – 0 at the break.

After a half time break and a small tactical tweak and told to compose themselves on the ball more the foxes would come out in the 2nd half the better team and the first 15 minutes of the 2nd half the Foxes would create a handful of quality chances just unable to hit the back of the net with the pick of the bunch landing at Frahmy’s feet where he smashed his shot into the crossbar.

But it would be a tactical substation at the 75th minute mark where the Foxes had a freekick just outside the 18 yard box and set piece specialist Zac would be brough on just for the Freekick and with the first touch of the game he would curl his freekick into the far corner and give the Foxes the lead.

With the momentum in the Foxes hands now it would be a defensive mistake from Travis from a long throw that would give the Vale team a penalty and Kade would be unable to save the shot and the game would be back level within 10 minutes.

But Super sub Zac would step up to rescue the team again and a first time volley from outside the box from a corner would get the Foxes 2 – 1 up and to seal the game a excellent piece of interplay in the midfield would turn the Foxes in transition 4 v 4 against the Vale defense and a perfect ball to Corey would be knocked home from his left foot to make it 3 – 1 and seal the win for the Foxes and get their season off to a great start.

Goal Scorers

Zachary Mackinnon – 2 Goals

Corey Powell – 1 Goal

This is now back-to-back wins for the Reserves who are looking to continue this good start to the season and fight their way up the table and have themselves in contention for a top 3 finish.

The Foxes will head to Rowe Park for a Triple header this weekend and looking for another Win for make it 3 on the bounce.

League Round #2

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs WA Raptors

Date: 23rd April 2023

Location: Away

Boy the B Grade love making their lives hard but this weekend they managed to get the win as opposed to Round 1 where they lost the game in the last min.

The game started off as perfectly as the Foxes could of hoped scoring within the first 5 minutes of the game scoring what has become a trademark for the Foxes with slick 1 touch passing into a wide cutback which was tapped home by Frahmy.

This would start the day off well with the Foxes looking to maintain control of the game but within 10 Minutes a lapse in concentration, effort and closing down would see Raptors draw back level.

This would be the tale of the day, Foxes working hard to get a goal only for a lapse in concentration leading to them conceding again.

it wasnt long before jacko would restore the foxes lead after some slick interplay between Bailey, Corey, Frahmy and eventually jacko to lob it overthe keeper into the goal.

Just before half time the WA Raptors keeper would go on to make a mistake and drop the ball at the feet of Jacko for him to bang home his 2nd goal of the game.

half time would see the Foxes 3 – 1 up and in charge of the game.

As the game progressed the heat took its toll and let to lapses in concentration again as the Foxes got caught again with their lead reduced.

But another piece of brilliant inter play this time from Remmie to find Frahmy running in behind the defensive line to tap home with his left foot would restore their 2 goal lead.

It was a nervy end to the game though for the foxes where a late WA Raptors goal would leave them just 1 goal up with a few minutes to play but the foxes dug deep and help off the late surge from WA Raptors and would take their first win of the season and make a statement to the league that they are here and ready to fight for another league title.

Goal Scorers

Jackson Dunning 2 goals

Josh Frahm 2 Goals

This weekend the Foxes will look to continue on with this weekend win and string together another win and climb up the table and succumb our local rivals to a loss at the hands of the Foxes and look for a clean sweep weekend.

League Round #1

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs West Beach

Date: 16th April 2023

Location: The Den

Sometimes in Soccer you can dominate a game but still end up on the losing side of it and that’s exactly what happened this weekend with the Sunday Reserves who went down 2 – 1 against West Beach losing their first home game in over 2 years.

The game started off well with the Foxes playing to their game plan perfectly shutting down the West beach wide spaces and working their asses off out of possession stopping the West Beach team from getting crosses into the box to their big men.

They even managed to collect the ball and play quick movement balls in and out of danger and spread the play from one side of the field to the other and open up the West Beach midfield.

This was evident with the goal the Foxes scored where composure and off ball movement was excellent keeping the ball for a 2 minutes straight period going from 1 side of the field to the other to eventually play an inch perfect split ball into the midfield where Jacko fed the ball to his strike partner Corey who played a 1-time ball around the corner for Jacko to run onto and slot past the keeper first time.

It was a text book piece of play straight from the training ground and this gave the Foxes all of the momentum in the game.

They started creating multiple chances but were just unable to bury a 2nd goal to put the game to bed and this would be what would come back to bite them later in the game.

With the Foxes collecting multiple corners just unable to put the ball in the goal despite a Remmie shot hitting the cross bar and the keeper pulling off a handful of great saves.

As the Foxes came out at half time their game plan was starting to be countered by the West Beach team and they started to pressure the Foxes midfield.

but the best chances of the half still fell to the Foxes with Paul hitting the crossbar from a corner and then eventually the Foxes won themselves a penalty which the ever-reliable Zac stepped up to take.

But in typical fashion for the day his penalty was saved missing for the first time in his Senior Foxes career.

This had a roll-on effect with not too long later the West Beach team getting in behind the Foxes defense and Brett clipping the heel of the striker and giving away a penalty.

The West Beach striker stepped up and made no mistake bringing the scores level.

The Foxes kept pushing and made some more chances but it had been a tough battle up to this point with the Foxes legs starting to give out and they just weren’t able to make a clear enough opportunity.

With mere seconds left to play the Foxes defense played a safe ball back to keeper Kade which soon became not so safe, after a mistouch from the keeper the West Beach striker shut him down and stole the ball from him and converted the chance stealing the win from the Foxes.

It was a heartbreaking loss for the Foxes who were undoubtedly the better team throughout the game but gave up 2 gifts and West Beach were happy to take them.

Goal Scorers

Jackson Dunning

It was a rough game to take for the Foxes taking their first loss at home in over 2 years especially after missing so many chances throughout the game and then making 2 mistakes that got capitalized upon by an experienced West Beach team.

The Foxes take on a new foe in WA Raptors for the first time this season and will be looking to put this disappointing result behind them and get back on the winners list.

Challenge Cup Round 2

Angle Vale Foxes B Grade vs Westwood

Date: 2nd April 2023

Location: The Den

It was the start of the competitive season for the Sunday Foxes teams with the Reserves taking on Westwood in Round 2 of the cup after their Bye in the first round.

The game started off fast and full of energy with the Foxes flooding forward and creating 2 very good chances within the first couple minutes of the game but it was eventually a penalty that would hand the Foxes the lead in the 3rd Minute of the game with the ever reliable Zach Mackinnon slotting home from the spot to continue his perfect penalty record for the senior squads.

The foxes showed their dominance and class early on creating a batch of chances with Corey finishing off a great attacking play and putting in a secondary movement into a solid shot which beat the keeper.

But just like normal the Foxes Reserves always have a silly goal to give away and this was no exception, with a long ball coming out of the Westwood defense catching the foxes defense to high up and a bad header fell into the path of the striker who dinked the ball over the Foxes keeper.

This made the first half of the game frustrating for the Foxes where they continued to create chances but were unable to convert them to put the game to bed.

As half time rolled around the foxes came back out and picked up where they left off creating chance after chance but without any end product.

This was until an excellent bit of play between the Foxes midfield and Forward line lead to a clear chance for Ethan in the box where he gets cleaned up from behind and wins the Foxes a penalty.

Zac would step up and convert from the spot again and continue his perfect record from the spot. Giving the Foxes some breathing room.

This lead to the next big moment where a big clash between the Foxes Captain Aidan and the Westwood defender lead to 2 red cards being showed for dangerous tackles.

This opened up the space on the field which the foxes continue to exploit and create a bunch more chances. Eventually another great bit of pressure on Westwood lead to the Foxes turning defense into attack and sliding through Westwood with some slick passing followed by a great Frahmy run who slide in behind the defense and finished expertly on his left foot past the keeper to seal the game 4 – 1.

Goal Scorers

Zach Mackinnon – 2 Goals

Josh Frahm

Corey Powell

It was a great result for the Foxes and a tougher game than expected. The Reserves are looking at a good cup Run again this season and it has started off well and will look to continue their good pre-season and now Cup form in 2 weekends time in their first league fixture against West Beach at home on the 16th April.
