The Angle Vale Soccer Club is looking to fill a new role within the club for the start of the 2026 season.

The successful applicant will start work in the 2nd half of the 2025 season in preparation for the beginning of 2026.

Role Outline

The Junior Technical director will aid the club in ensuring the junior pathway and direction of the club is being followed and actioned on every level. This person will be in between the committee and the coaching core of the junior federation pathway. The JTD will oversee pre-season trials, team selection, coaching appointments and junior training development on a club scale.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for the role of Junior Technical Director is as follows.

• Work alongside the Sporting & technical Director and establish a clear style of play for the Angle Vale Soccer Club at a youth level.
• Assist coaches in training their teams to play in this style of play and teach players the fundamentals required for the club style
• Aid in talent acquisition from around the other club and look at further development of the junior ranks for future years.
• Assist team managers & coaches in training courses and programs to help improve their skillset.
• Be the direct contact person for coaches when it comes to anything on the field

Report to

You will be reporting directly to the President of the club and discussing on field performances and trainings from around the teams

Decisions to be made

• Adjusting training schedules and drills with coaches to best suit the talent in the team.
• Aiding in pre-selections and trials at the start of the season promote and relegate junior players who are either exceeding expectations or not meeting them throughout the year to foster a healthy level of competition.
• Report to the S&TD about upcoming players to keep an eye on within the club and help further develop.

Additional Information

This is a highly dedicated role and will require you to be at the club for the Junior Trainings to help aid the coaches and players with their development throughout the year.

Attend the YCC competition games and Junior league games to help the coaches on game day and keep an eye on the development of the players.

Qualifications and Experience

• This is a perfect role for an individual who has a keen eye for young talent and can nurture and develop that talent.
• A coach that has been within the Football Australia youth system for several years bringing their wealth of coaching talent.
• The successful applicant will need to be personable with parents, coaches and team managers and can manage people and expectations whilst always maintaining the best direction for the club.
